964 advice please - FAQ, etc?
The time has come to own my first 964 C2 but I have a few lingering questions.
If there is a good FAQ that can answer most of these please point me in the right direction.
-Are there any notable changes between 1990-1994? I know about the side mirrors, colors, etc but what about mechanical and performance updates?
-What are the most common reliability issues? Distributor belts? Leaky engines? Electronics?
-Is there a list of options codes posted somewhere? I want to make sure that I get a Limited Slip Diff!
-What is the hot street/track suspension and tire size set-up?
If anyone has a nice C2 available in the low-$20s (or less) please contact me.
Thanks

Firstly, I know the pre- '92's have engines w/out gaskets btw the cylinders and the block. This was a major debacle for Porsche.
They all have Destributor belt issues but there was a fix from the factory which allowed air into the distributor to reduce degradation of the belts. I replaced my belt done when I bought the car straight away. About 40K miles. A lot of folks who track their cars swear by the logic that the engines do better when excersized. So, ultra low mileage cars should be thoroughly checked on these older models.
- My information is basic, and maybe flawed, so other chimer-inners pls feel free to adjust my input.

My car is very good even with no sussy,s! He He .
Take every car on its merit. Not on its history.
Get it checked proper, but that will lead to issues.
F**it!
Buy it with your heart, not with your wallet!
A 964 is a very good p-car! But does have some issues! As does everything!!!!
