Default RS Clutch Question

i picked up a lightly used LWF/RS clutch kit to put into my c2. when it arrived i realized that the clutch disk has a solid center. my car already had a lwf and the clutch i took out has the spring center.
from what i understand, the spring center helps absorb some vibration. if i install the solid disk, will that make shifting rougher?
take a look:

clutch pads are not very thick...like a brake pad with ~1/3 remaining

To me it looks like a cup disk. This will not be very comfortable because it will be digital: in or out, nothing in between.

And it does look fairly used indeed.
