Hello all,

Does any one have recommendations for a good shop to do a PPI near Johnstown OH?

Also, has anyone ever dealt with Denny Dotson Automotive in that area?

Hi Scott,

I grew up near Johnstown and I'm vaguely familiar with Denny Dotson. They've been around a long time. It's a small dealership. They do seem to get a fair number of 911s there.

The "local" garage that has expertise in the older cars is EPR Automotive, Plain City, OH 614-873-3401. I think they might do a PPI for you if Denny is willing to get it there. I'm not aware of a shop closer that has any Porsche experience.

I can check with my club members in Columbus for you.

Also, I could probably go look at the car in Johnstown if you'd like. I'm no expert. Just got my first 911 a few months ago, but I did learn a thing or two while searching. And I have a friend with a 964 so I learned about them too.

I know of a couple places in Columbus that will do a good PPI - I will send a PM. Also, I live in the area and will be happy to take a look/drive the car if you like.

Scott, I live in Granville which is less than 20 minutes from Johnstown... I would also be willing to take a look at the car... or Chip, if you want a second set of eyes I'd meet you. As chip said, there are a couple good places in columbus to have the car inspected.

Scott, is this the car you're looking at? I found it though AutoTrader and thought it was a great looking car. I'm potentially in the 964 market, but can't pull the trigger right now. Good luck.
