works for me now, too. Strange. I even cut the path off and tried just the www.burnsstainless.com and that failed. Must have been having an internet glitch. Thanks for the links!

Default Starter Motor Removal

So, I tried to remove my starter today without dropping the engine. Managed to get the 10mm allen socket into the upper nut, but could not get it loose. Not enough leverage/room to work. I'm impressed with those who have accomplished this task.

Looking at the shop manuals, again, and it appears that they are suggesting removal of the top nut from the left hand side after removing the clutch slave cylinder.

Has anyone tried this method?

You can remove the heat exchanger from the passenger side and I assume you have the axel on that side free already so you can move it out of your way...
