Frank - was your new RS style door handle attached to the door-card only? Or also to the metal of the door?

The handles are attached to the metal of the door. I used "nutserts" to create a permanent anchor point.

P.S. Anchor points are really easy to do. Many cars have a square plastic insert that the door handle is attached to via a self tapping screw. If you mark the location, you can drill a small hole and then file the hole square (with a small square file) to accept the plastic insert. You would have to be extremely violent to pull this insert from the door. The handle fixing srew opens up the back of the insert and makes it larger than the hole it went in, preventing it coming out.

Hawk911,

Yes I still have my pattern, that's the one laying on the vinyl with all the drawings, lines, arrows and measurements written on it. However paterns are very easy to make.

If I can be of any assistance, just ask.

Question

I have a red 92 coupe with a grey interior. I have been thinking of going with the black RS carpet, Black RS door panels and black Sparco seats. I really do not want to change out the grey headliner, dash, steering wheel, center counsel. Does any body have this color combination that could post a picture?

Just in the process of making some door panels at home.

But, how does the rose around the opening pull fix to the door? ordred original parts but the screw is not longer available, and I can't see how it would fit anyway?
