Default Replica cup 1

FWIW, I purchased a set of Italian Cup 1 replicas (17", 7.5 and 9 x 17, 52mm and 47mm, respectively), through an E-bay seller about 6 months ago (satin black centers, polished lip) and am quite happy. I recall custom painted centers, lips, etc., could be accomodated. Paid $750 plus ship for set with center caps if I recall. V

I posted this picture of my old car several months ago. Half of the people couldn't tell which wheel was OEM and which was aftermarket. Let's play the game again:
That is easy fronts are 8 x 17 OEM and rears are 9 x 17 MM's Although I agree with Geofrey there really is little difference between them, they are both heavy and the MM's do have better offsets readily available. You can find OEM 7.5 and 9.5 x 17's but they cost too much $$. I don't recommend Fikse's as the brand to go with there are many alternatives but I run 18" Fikse's on teh track and the weight difference is significant. just keep your eyes open for cracks and damage and they work far better than OEM wheels.

I know I am asking a lot but I do have a set of factory 8 & 9 x 17 with brand new R888's 235/275 i was asking $2200 for If you try to package this yourself the tires alone will cost you $1500 mounted. It also comes with a free third rear tire. the only issue is they are painted black centers although they look quite decent in person. They were driven less than 100 miles.

If I didn't know you well enough I would've said you looked it up somewhere

In all seriousness Anthony knows more about these wheels than the Porsche factory. Here's an idea - you have the expertise and the technology, why not start making these wheels now that they are officially out of stock...

LOL

Wheels are a royal PITA to make and require all sorts of specialized equipment. Liability is too great. I have made a few replica wheel centers in magnesium for vintage F1 cars but try to avoid anything that is used on the street. Too easy to damage a wheel used on the street and not enough $$ in it.

I have a set of genuine Cup I's. They are black and have been pretty well used, the paint has several chips and the varnish is peeling at some places if you look carefully.
Honestly I have had my car like that for a while and they look good. They should be sand blasted and repainted to be like new. Not damage, no bad dent on the rims.

They have a set of P Zero Rosso. Front still 50%, rear 0% left.

nope, changed my mind. Going to keep it and do some more mods.
I enjoy driving it too much, and it is one of only 2 Porsches that Joanne actully has liked and enjoys riding in.
Where you looking for a second set of wheels Larry? Sorry.
