If you are trying to see if it would fit , just add 4" (how thick the lift is) to the height of your two cars.
I can stack two under 9' ceiling, but it's not fun...

Slantnose is correct for most lifts as you are adding the width of the rails the car is setting on. Basically for me I wanted around 50" for the bottom car. That is more than I really needed but it feels better than trying to squeeze it under with an inch to spare.

I have a 4 post lift being delivered in the next few days. I have a question about the install. Its had to tell from your pictures, but there appears to be a slight pitch to you floor as there is with mine. Did your installer mention anything about putting shims on the lower end to keep everything level?

Wow! I am officially jealous of both of these garages. I think I've onlu got about 10'-6" of clearance, I would love it if I could get the other car in the garage. I think I am a few inches short (although my wife, probably not telling the truth, says otherwise).

Thanks for the comments. At 10' 6" you should be able to get 2 sports cars to work. I started with 9' which didn't work. Yes, my garage does have a slope and it is not a problem. I asked and he said that shimming was not needed for the amount of slope I have. Have fun!

Steven, this really has me thinking. Although I definitely don't have enough ceiling height to stack my 993 on top of my Cayenne. I need to measure my ceiling.

So, if I were to pull it off I would need to trade the Cayenne on another 911 (some would argue that is a great idea), change my garage door, and install the lift. That will be easy to explain to the wife!

Honestly, I may ask you for some names/phone numbers.

Oh, and the other comment about the one armed contractor - you can't make that stuff up!

Steve, glad to see you got it sorted out. It looks great. I'll have to come by sometime to drool in person. BTW, shouldn't you have a photo of your Alpha race car in your signature somewhere?

Greg,

You are welcome anytime, as always! Yes on the signature. Chad996 on the 996 board did 5 guys one of these sigs for free. I first sent him the Alfa and he wouldn't do it but he did put the Italian flag in the corner!
