Default Cabrio Roof Leaking when Stationary

I get a steady drip on the driver side from above the edge of the quarterlight frame on the door when standing or crawling in heavy rain. When driving normally there is no leak. The passenger side is OK. The seals appear to be the same and in good shape. There are no other leaks even in torrential rain on the motorway. It appears that water is running off the hood and somehow not being channelled away in the gutter at the edge of the hood. Any ideas as to how to cure this very welcome!

Ian,

I had a similar problem. Mine was caused by worn or tired weather seals around the door/roof.

Same here... resolved by replacing the weather seals...

A Ha Craig - This was persistent German rain not the gentle hill rain of our God's own county!

OK, it looks like Pelican is no longer selling these seals. Where else can I buy them?

The other night, I had my cab out for the first time ever in the rain. The driver's side leaked constantly from the top of the triangle glass. When I made a left turn, the water gushed into my lap. As long as I was going straight or turned right, the water only ran down the inner window. BTW, it must have been a funny sight as I'm pumping gas with my lap fully soaked.

If Pelican isn't selling the seals, try another source of factory parts. My favorite is Engine Builders Supply www.ebsracing.com (no affiliation).

I would think Forestfine (http://www.forestfine.com/) have got to be a good bet in the UK. They seem to do a huge range of Porsche seals etc.

I picked up a handful of different cabriolet seals from Sunset - all with reasonable prices.

Good luck!

Sunset is probably the best dealer source- they always beat my local dealer, even with shipping.
