Default Road trip-763 miles to pick her up!!

763 miles ONE WAY that is! Yes, ANOTHER guards red 911! Took the new Cayman from Georgia to Texas over the weekend to pick up my 1994 C2. This has always been my favorite body style. Whenever I think of "Porsche", this is the car I think of! She is near perfect, aside from the cracks in the front bumper as mentioned in another thread. 44K miles, runs and drives perfect! Funny thing-it was actually more comfortable on the ride back in the 964 than on the way out in the Cayman! Ha! 2 totally different cars though

Aside from repainting the front bumper and lowering it, this car is a wonderful example IMO. Interior is flawless. I will however spend next weekend with the PC orbital and rid her of the swirls in the paint! Previous owner took awesome care, just left some swirls like most of the population does.

Ok, now the pics (crappy-taken in a hurry)

BTW, the front tag is from when my wife lived in England! She likes it? Oh well....

and the Cayman for good measure!

I have noticed as well alot of folks on here from GA! I personally haven't seen hardly any yet though. Hopefully there will be a Porsche meet in maybe ATL or something soon.

Just curious, I'm at work so not sure if you posted a picture but is this the red/black one that Victory had for sale. If it is I had seen this car listed on cars.com about 4-5 weeks ago and hesitated because the owner, an attorney, had mentioned the CEL coming on and wasn't willing to get it checked out so I steered away from it, but it sure was a good looking car.

Thumbs up

Beautiful car! Is that Guards Red? It always looks orangeish on my computer. The PO really did take care of it. Do you mind if I ask what you paid and the milage?

44k and $25,000. It is the bad pics that make it look orange. The red is sooo intense that it nearly hurts your eyes! Looks so very nice in person. I will take some better photos soon!

It was the one that Victory Motorcars had for sale!! They took care of everything that was problematic, which was nothing but a ccouple of very minor things. Gt a thorough PPI and everything is in tip-top shape. They were absolutely great to do business with. Robert Neil and his staff are awesome! His mechanics are great as well

Thanks all for the replies!

On another note, the ac/vent blower has started to whine! Is this common? It is still blowing air just fine, but man it is super annoying!! Any fixes?

Best of luck with it and I also noticed your bike and license plate frame. From one Triathlete to another, Great looking 964.

Nice car - and the right color.
Now, get out and Drive It. My experience from 18 months of ownership, and 16K miles, is that the noises, leaks, etc. (except maybe a clutch thing.... arghhh) go away. I am convinced that these cars are better off being Driven, not Sleeping.
Have Fun!

I agree with darrell, it's the right color combo. Enjoy it. Mine has also stopped leaking, and runs much better since I got it out of it's previous owner enforced retirement. Enjoy it.
