Thanks Russ - even taking into account about £50 for fitting 4 tyres, valves, balancing and disposal of old tyres?

£321.0 for a full set of Toyo T1R's fittrd/balanced/VAT from Blackcircle
- and I love the tyres, as good as any in 37 years of Porsche motoring
- the N number is irrelevant and academic to us, as no tyre is tested on a 964.

How did you manage that - they are advertised at £132 online?

Without wishing to get the N-rated good/bad thing going again - that's not true, Rodders - only recently Porsche did testing of something like five different tyres for the 964.

Don't forget Costco - they just had a 20% off Michelin tyres promotion on top of their competitive prices. I ended up getting Michelin Pilot Sport 2 N rated for all four for £560 on 17"'s. Most other places wanted well over £700 for a set of them. My last set of tyres were Continental Sport Contact 2's N rated and although OK were never the grippiest tyres in the world. Hoping these are slightly better!
