Default bilstein brake pipe mod

just bought a set of bilstein shock absorbers, remember reading that you can modify the brake pipe bracket to ease fitment of the brake pipe, which position is best to make the cut out because i've seen it done at the top of the bracket and also at the side, or doesn't it really matter... just didn't want to mess up a brand new pair of shockers.
cheers

are you talking about cutting the tab so the hard brake line to flex brake line does not need to be separated? This is a common modification in a racing environment where the struts are removed often. However, in a street environment I would recommend disconnecting the brake lines and replacing any hard lines as required.

Oddly enough, my original shocks had a notch cut out of the top. Therefore I cut out the notch in the similar location.
