I have 2 complete cars, a 1990 964 Tiptronic which doesn't run and a 1987 930 with front damage.
How bigger job will it be to switch the 930 engine and gearbox over to the 964 shell, and what are likely to be my biggest challenges? I am handy with the spanners and have rebuilt a few cars in the past, but never really worked on 911's until now.
I assume the electrical/engine management may pose some problems, but will the engine and 'box bolt straight in?
The 930 engine with a 964 gearbox would be relatively easy and a lot more fun than the 4 speed. The 965 turbo's up until the 3.6's were just a 3.3 engine that still used the same CIS as yours.
