Default Does anyone in Dallas area have a Bosch Hammer?

I would like to do a full DME reset. I was told that disconnecting the battery only resets one parameter related to idle and to do it right, it requires a Hammer.

Jim,

What are the steps with the scan tool software. Is it that adaptation function?

All I know is it has a DME reset function. What it does or if it actually works I dont know. I tried it a couple of times and didnt notice a difference. It does go thru the motions of doing something tho.

Greg,
Like Steve said, call Hans. If he's not around, ask for Bob in the shop. They should be able to do it for you.

Running an idle adaptation with a Bosch Hammer will only affect a single parameter. And over time that number will revert back to what it would have been had you not run the adaptation in the first place. So if it solved your problem it would only be temporarily.
