I received an email from Mike Parker at SoK. They are ready to ship the parts back.
I on the other hand have been busy with work and I havent ordered any of the clutch parts from Sunset yet. Oops.
Anyways looks like the project can get moving soon.

According to Mike at SoK they have pretty much wound down their business. However they were happy to help me out with this job.
They machined the pistons to 9:1 compression and modified the engine mounting bracket and the a/c mounting bracket for me. And they helped me source the other aftermarket parts required to install the SC.

That was sure nice of them... do you know what kind of power they are thinking it will produce? Does the system use a 7th injector like the TPC system? The TPC is suppposed to produce around 385hp.

HP is estimated to be ~450
They use larger injectors and a big intercooler.
Compression is lowered to 9:1
A piggback ECU is used to handle the timing / fuelling changes.

Kirk,
I was wondering when you would be back on this project...
I am curious how the pistons were machined. When you get everything back, can you take a picture and possibly dimensions?
Also, how are you eventually going to tune it. I know you have the programmer. I would assume real time on a dyno, but maybe you are getting the info from SoK and preloading it??

Bill,
SoK sent me the original tuning parameters, and apparently the piggyback ECU has non volatile memory so it should still have its settings in it.
I am going to take detailed pictures and measurements of everything before I install them. For the pistons I have my old set (pre - rebuild) so I will do some comparison shots.
After everything is running, I would like to do some dyno runs. But that is complicated because the nearest AWD dyno is in minneapolis, which is 10 hours away.

Minutes or maybe hours on the stock clutch!!!
450hp now we're talking.
Have you installed a wide band o2 yet, I'm thinking about installing a innovate LC-1 permanently and using its narrow band output for the ecu.

I am not sure what to do about an O2/Boost/Vacuum/AFR gauge yet. I was looking at the LC-1 as well, or the gauge from

or

Where did porsche put their boost gauges in the 965s?

The blown six design one isn't bad value when you consider it comers with all the sensors.
Although you can't log to a laptop with it which would be valuable.
I can't find any images of a 965 boost gauge maybe they didn't fit one. I've seen images of a boost gauge being fitted to air vent.

I've been using an LC-1 as my O2 input on my TPC'd 993 for over a year now. I can also see the afr with a led gauge I hand crafted and log to a pc. Its worth the investment.
Cheers, Mark.
