Default 964 and 993 steering wheel assemblies- the same or different?

I have after market wheels on both cars and would like to swap- are the fittings the same or do I need new hubs for each?

TIA

They are different - The 964 is an early model Momo adapter - while the 993 uses the later version (which works with 996 airbag wheels btw & probalby 997 as well)

Thanks. I have very nice aftermarket wheels on each car but I'd like to swap them as the one on the 964 (Daytona wheel from Gert) is pretty thick for use with gloves.

you should be able to get a hub for it from FVD

http://shop.fvd.de/?VID=92319&VCD=10...Body=&CarYear=

here is the company that makes them
http://www.atiwe-rdi.com/englisch2/03_airbagsysteme.htm

you might get lucky and be able to just switch it over - they are listing the same part number for both the 964 and 993

Cheers Rob.

Gert/Carnewal has already quoted me a new hub and I'm actually considering a second Daytona but my concern is that while perfect for the road, it may be too meaty with padded gloves for the track (even though I have large hands). I haven't actually tried it yet but will.

If it is then I will swap wheels with the 993- its nice wheel too and the grip is smaller. I won't ever be tracking the 993 (in the Bahamas!).
