I need some help on understanding the paint codes. I have a 1992
Cup Car and the color is Signal Green (SINGNALGRUEN). The paint
code is located at the left front inner fender, but I can read it. I put
a flash light at a angle and I believe it may be SES 92. I called my
local dealer and they gave me a paint code of 22S that differs from
what I believe which was on the car. Can anyone help?
From: Seattle xburb - I can't see the Emerald City, but I know it's out there somewhere
This may serve to muddy the waters. It shows 22S, but not for 1992 (although I think the car color could be 'retro-ordered' in some way using an old code?):
That's funny - 4 different possible codes for "black".
K.I.S.S. is not the German way.
This chart does not show it but there were different codes for standard and water base paints which Porsche was starting to switch over too in the early to mid 90's.
