RS 3.8 Wing

RS 3.8 Wing
I have been looking for a C4 for about 6 months now and have learned a lot reading this forum. There is a 1989 available that fits my criteria. It has a RS 3.8 wing. What does it take to get it back to original? My research shows a new deck lid with motor. That is assuming that the electronics on the car is there and works. The last thing I want to do is offend anybody that has this wing. I think it is just a little too big for my taste. Any help is appreciated.

The 89 is a little bit different as the manual raising and lowering switch is in the tail instead of on the interior console from what I have read. I bet you could find someone that wold be happy to do some type of a swap with you.

Jim,
Absolutely right . I got a later center consol switch to be able to put the rear lid up in hot traffic driving !
Being polite ,it was an error on the 89s !!!

Word, My 89 C4 was under the engine lid . I really like the option of my 91 on the inside of the car.
I am sure you could retrofit one from a later model. Not sure if anyone has done it. I will be going to a fixed wing once my car gets a full widebody conversion. That will be hopefully this winter......

If you do go back I have the console and switches that will fit. You can't buy them anymore. PM me if you are interested as I went the other way and removed mine.

The 89 tail comes down when you stop !
Hot day , you really want to get out , lift the lid , operate the switch and hope the speed stays low ?
After a trip across central France, in a hot summer, changing over to the later system becomes a very high priority !
It was a total mistake . I kept the old center control just for a laugh !
