Default Just bot a '92 C2 ; you 964 guys are really on to something

I just bought a '92 C2 (subject to PPI) to use as an occassional driver and track car.

I have only driven my C4S and this car recently but I have to say the 964 rocks and is hands down the better value- the performance delta is slim for my average skills. Aesthetics aside, with an emphasis on performance the 964 compares very favorably to the 993- without the 993 "premium". More margin left over for mods.

I love the 4S but if only needed the one car it would likely be the 964 (shhh- please don't tell the RL 993 guys).

you are the 2nd convert this week :-) Thats why I kept my 964 after buying the 996TT. They are a fun easy car to drive with the somewhat old school look and a reasonable price line

Yes the 964's star is definitely on the rise. 964s have the classic 911 shape but with a strong 3.6L twin plug motor, coil spring suspension and a great transmission all for 2/3 the cost of an equiv 993, or the same as a nice Carrera 3.2. For me it was a no brainer.

Congrads the 964 is a sweet Porsche. That makes for a fun daily driver! I am jealous.

964s really are great cars. My Speedster has been trouble free for 7 years now. I hope to make a 93/94 Targa a daily driver within the next few years (need to find it first, then convince the wife)...

Enjoy it!

964 is #1 in my book. The RS feels like an early car on steriods.

I'm an early car guy who recently got in to 964's. All I can say is awesome!!!! Even though my 93 is bone stock, it delivers!!!! Can't wait to drive one with lowered suspension and lightened flywheel.

As for value.....most excellent although I must say the word is out. Only 6 or 7 964's available on e bay. This is saying something. If you're in the market, buy one as soon as possible. Prices are climbing.........

Great Cars.

Had a 1990 C2 and sold it. Been hunting for a 92 to 94 coupe. Hard to come by.
