Whats this?
Anyone know what this thing is? Found it under the bonnet above the battery. One of the terminals is quite furred up and I have no idea what is does!

I think "What is it wired to?" is the key question. It could be sort of a build in battery maintainer. Do you have any kind of exterior connector in the wheel wells or under the front bumper cover? I have thought about doing this mod myself. If you are not going to use the car for 2 weeks or so, just plug in the cord and the battery maintainer jumps in.. Increases the lifetime of your battery remarkably.. Could be something completely different though
