It's in the transmision tunnel. On the drivers side (RHD car) there is a switch next to a small rectangular panel (in the carpeting). The panel is held in with two screws - remove the panel and there they are - although there is limited access doing it this way.
Only C4s have longditudinal accelerometers - hence the reason you can't find yours. You still have lateral I believe, which is the relay looking thing in your photo.
Thanks for the clear-up dave. I did a search for lateral accelerometer and apparently only a c2 tip has this. Normal c2's dont have any sensors, hence my problem finding one! Doesnt help my abs cutting in to early problem though!
C4 definitely has/needs the two (lateral and horizontal). Mine shown below (one partially shown but can see the part #). Both 'flatter' looking than the small relays and both screwed to the console supporting frame. Think the C2 manual doesn't have/need one but the tip does have one (lateral). Someone will chime in soon I guess.
