Race style tach conversion. A DIY work?
Hi,
I have a stock tach which I have twisted so that the redline is at the 12 o'clock position.
I bought a tach face just like this one, only mine is black.
Is changing my stock tach face for the gemballa one a DIY job?
or do I have to away to have the work done?

Hello,
What you want to do is a great idea. I was set to do exactly the same early last year but was told that calibration may be a problem. Though I was willing to try it, seeing where the needle would be in the area of the tach during normal driving helped to convince me that I might not like it. That said, if you do it you will have a great looking set-up. Unless you know what you are up against I would not attempt to change it myself. I had my tach converted by North Hollywood Speedometer when I decided to change its color.

I have had North Hollywood Speedometer do a tach for me, including changing from 7k max to 8k max and rotating the face as you have shown. Calibration was spot on.
