'90 C2 Targa - no water leaks, some wind noise from the trailing vertical edge of the windows. Seems that part of the window lifts slightly away from the seal at 60 mph+.

Awesome photos! Love the black Targa. Do cab owners experience the same type of window lift?

I wouldn't trade my 91 C2 Targa for anything.... very little noise and no leaks.. and a blast with the top off!

Man those are some pretty targas.

After putting a G-pipe on my car last year, I don't hear too much wind noise in my car with the top off...just the glorious melody of that flat 6. As for water leaks...I have not driven it in any serious downpour, but I do have a slight wind whistle rome the right side of the windshield that I need to investigate. The PO had the Targa top redone so maybe something is slightly amiss.

I found a local 6speed 993 cab at a dealer. Stopped in to see if I could drive it to see if I would like the cab or not figuring it would be quite similar to a 964.

First off this is the newest 911 i've ever driven and it was very smooth. Porsche took out all the harshness of the old cars and it imo is a huge improvement. The soul is there but it is wearing a nice suit instead of jeans and a T-shirt!

Didn't know whether i'd be dissappointed by the power steering or not. LOVED it. Makes manuvering at slow speeds soooo easy. I had big wheels/tires on my last SC and you had to really muscle it to park. Had excellent communication of the road surface like a 911 should have but less kick back. Like the gearbox. Man the linkage is light years better than the old 915s.

Must admit I would miss the front fenders guiding my way. The 993 fenders are mere bumps in comparison.

In regards to the top. Very cool but not for me. I love being able to push a button and have it go down. The wind noise wasn't bad at all. My 11 year old and I could carry on normal conversation at 90mph on the freeway no problem. The deal breaker for me is the rear 3/4 visibility. I feel almost dangerous in the car making lane changes. I think I'd put the top down to back up if there were anyone around me. I always turn my head briefly before changing lanes, and when I do it in the cab I'm staring at the inside framework/top covering material and nothing else. Sure I can get used to it, but I guess I don't want to. That coupled with higher maintenance possibly and the roll bar issue for DEs is enough to start my hunt ine arnest for a sweet black Targa.

Thanks all for your responses. This is an awesome community and I trully do appreciate the feedback.

I have a 91C2 Targa and had a 944S2 Cab before the Targa. I miss my ragtop!
