Hi,

I'm on a flying list to St.Charles Illinois to the Accenture training center (QCenter) and was wondering if there are any local Rennlisters who could point me in the right direction for good things to see in the local area.

Not really sure what there is to see out there. St. Charles is a nice old Fox River town, my sister lives out there. There is a casino a few miles south down Rt 31 in downtown Aurora. If you go, there is a Frank Lloyd Wright along the way on Rt 31 on the west side of the road.

Well, you could stop in & say hello in my office Or stop by across the street & down just a ways & pop in to look over Euroquipe (who does service & mods on Porshces, BMWs, etc).

Otherwise, I'm more familar with Geneva (which is the town right next door) & you could check out 3rd street (if you're into poking through little shops).

If you wanna see something really cool - just follow Kirk road south & go tour Fermilab. Great view of their collider ring from the top floor of the main building & maybe the bison are out trotting around where you can look at the herd.

Lots of REALLY good restaurants, though again, I like the Geneva side more than St. Charles. Try Gen Hoe for Chinese (closed Mondays), Tia Maria's for some interesting & delicious Mexican, or Isabellas for some excellent fancy eats!

I used to spend some quality time in St. Chuck...worked for Accenture for 6+ years. Now at Deloitte.

I never did anything but the Social Center and Cadillac ranch on Thursdays. There is enough to do on the campus with gym, bikes, sports, etc.

If you are there for two weeks, go to Chicago.

I went into Chicago on Sunday and visited the Science museum, that U-boat display was well worth the trip.

RT, your right there is plenty to do on campus, espcially now my new drinking buddies have arrived
