Default Idle Problem

I searched and did not find anything close to my current issue.

I have a 92 C4 with chip and secondary bypass as only known mods. Runs fine when driving, since yesterday I noticed a problem.

From cold, starts with maybe a half second of key. Runs smooth and purrs with no uneveness. After about 3 maybe 4 minutes will waver 3-4 times and die. Then will not idle unless out on the road or from cold start.

Any ideas? I was thinking vac leak or dirty intake.

I called today to get quotes on valve adjust and tune (comes with oil change). $900 was cheapest. Others where including brake bleed and front rear axle bleed that ran as high as $2700.

I have had this car less than a year and it has run flawless until now.

Thanks much for your time in advance.

Cylinder head temp sensor. I know they usually fail with low resistance and give problems with cold start. But may also fail with high resistance and give falsely low temp reading when engine finally comes up to operating temp.

Easy to check at DME.
