Default Turbo tie rods for C2? One for the racers...

Gentlemen,
as you may be well aware, on pre-964 NA 911s, it was a common conversion to fit turbo tie rods to increase steering precision. My C2 recently started to have an imprecise steering feel, weaving under braking etc. Since the car has a fully ball jointed suspension, the tie rods may be to blame.

Here comes the question: are there any ball jointed tie rods for the 964 C2? AFAIK the 965 Turbo also came rubber jointed and 930 turbo tie rods cannot be fitted.

Any solutions from you racers out there?

Thanks a lot for your help!

You could change to cup forks.

The CUP-forks are stiff but also a bit expensive. I bought the C4/RS which are stiffer than the C2's but cheaper than the CUP-version. Just buying new ones makes a big difference because the rubber becomes weak with age. I could easily bend the old fork with my two hands, and that was not the case with the new C4/RS fork which I couldn't flex at all without a lot of muscle!

Gentlemen,
thank you for your adivce! I will check the price difference and then decide whether the cup forks are the ones to go for.
