Merrik -Thanks for taking those close-up shots. Your install looks great. That Techart splitter is the business and looks much cleaner than some of the others out there. No fussing or drilling sounds nice…

Mark -I’m interested in a group buy if there are others. Anyone know what this piece regularly goes for?

Marc - I'm in for the group buy!

Merrick - Some of the techart pieces I've seen (including the photos in their catalogue and website) seem like the splitter is much less pronounced. I really like your look. Do you have a part number? Thx.

browse964,
Yes, they don't carry my splitter anymore. The part number is 064.100.100.105. I actually bought it off of ebay . I have to say, it was a good experience. No affiliation with the link.

I have the same splitteer from the same eBayer and again no hassles with shipping the quality or the installation.

Your car looks fantastic and having it passed down to you is an incentive to keep it looking better than your dad's new cab. Good luck with the future mods and enjoy driving it.

Hello to another bay Area Rennlister! The car looks awesome, the interior looks like it is in beautiful condition. As for the clear lenses I think to really complete the look you should remove the horrid US black bumperettes and add the flush clear ones..they cost very little, are easy to install if you have the ability hold a dremel steady for about 30 seconds and change the entire look of the car imo.

Cheers,

--Howard

Nice looking car, nice mods and I especially enjoyed the story of how it was passed down. My parents still own to this day a 1968 912 that will become co-owned by my brother and I some day.

I like these traditions and I hope to do the same with my kids.

To all that replied on the splitters a big thanks. Ive seen those on eBay for some time and have been hesitant.

Depending on your tastes I would suggest a new set of Aero mirrors. They really update the look of the car.

I can tell you first hand this is one of the nicest Porsches Ive seen. what a difference the wheels and suspension set up can make! Doesnt hurt to have a car kept in a sealed container for 15 years either

makes me cry when i see what ive done to my car!!!!

And yes, i have first dibs on Merrick's father adopting me!

Merrick

My front splitter is on the way from HK... after various mods and painting, I'll post my pics!

Thx for the sourcing tip!
