Default Winter Projects almost done

My winter projects are coming along real well. Don't remember if I have posted my list in the "winter project" thread but here is what I did so far;

- Split Kinesis wheels to get center anodized black and put everything back together
- Prep and paint track wheels in satin black. Did it with dupli-color and went well. Really pleased with the finish
- Sold my savannah beige seats and got a set of black. After numerous discussions with dye companies, I came to conclusion that it was better off selling and buying another set.
- change the bulbs for sylvania ultra white. Sorry can't show the result cause one of my other modification is still not done....

Still to come
- get new battery. Don't know if I should go with plain jane battery, optima red top or Odyssey 925 series. feedback is always good.
- RS engine mounts
- General maintenance, oil change, spark plug, caps, rotors etc.
- I think that is it..... Now pictures

Great looking hot rod. You've been busy.

I'm going with the Optima Red Top on my next battery. I'm going to use one on my boat this Summer also. It'll be my first try with them.

Looks great! Did you paint the wheels with the tires on?

Thanks guys for the compliment.

Yes I did paint the wheels with tires on. I used painter's tape and since the tire doesn't cover the lip, I was able to slide the tape underneath. I still don't know how it will hold but so far so good. Dupli-color makes good stuff. I used flat black primer and satin black wheel paint.

I wanted to go with red top optima but in CAD, they're close to 200$. Now is it really worth it when a smaller normal battery is 85$ and the car has a bettery tender on the rest of the time??? Can you tell I'm getting at the bottom of my modding budget.

Thomas, you have one sweet stealth look'n C2. Car looks pretty low.

I have an Odyssey 925 in my SC, works great! I'll be putting the same in my 930.

The Odyssey would be the best but they are not given. Don't you have to get another battery tie down??

I fabricated an aluminum plate to hold it down and to mount a cutoff switch to so i'm not sure if stock mounting will work at all..

Thanks, yeah I like the look of it. My wheels are glossy black though but I think that's the best combo on a solid black car. On any other colour I think satin black like yours would look better.

I have Porsche RSR suspension on the car and the ride height is set as a Cup car. Then there are many other mods like 3,6 turbo brakes, RS steering rack, 996 Cup LSD, 996 Cup race clutch, LWF, Lightweight interior, full Heigo roll cage etc, etc. A nice car

Wow excellent mods. Our cars have pretty much the same mods except for full cage, I have a autopower rollbar. Can someone tell me the difference between 996 CUP llsd and the one that came stock in my RSA??

Looks great. I have to ask... on the Cup wheels, how did you get the center caps to look that way?

I have the regular center caps that were silver, with crest in silver/black. I masked the entire crest with painter's tape and used a exacto blade, to trim the outline. Painted the cap black and removed the tape once dry. Voilà!! I know it looks like I hand painted the crest but I didn't.

I am going after the stealth look too, but not all black. Looking at the dupli-color in Graphite.
I thought about powder coating them, but as a cheap alternative I am considering the Duplicolor product as a start and see how it holds up.
Again, they look great.

Nice lookin' ride. I have an Odyssey 680 w/ rennline mount kit. It works just dandy, I recommend that setup.

Thanks again for the compliment. I'll take better pictures when the weather will allow it but, it won't be anytime soon. We're getting dumped a crap load of snow as we speak.

To Kgorman; I herd the 680 was a little small for normal cars (not simple race cars with barely any electrical) for an entire DE week-end.
