Default Wheel Hub Cleanup

How do the hubs get all rusty looking and what have you guys done to clean them up?

The car is in excellent shape. I bought it last month. Two owner car, both in the San Fran, CA area. Only 63k miles.

Just looks bad and bugs me.

You can glass bead the rotor and paint it.

I sanded mine real good and sprayed them with high heat rust paint. They have held up fine for over a year.

That is most probably from a non OEM rotor that came with no paint on it. PITA now but wire brush on a drill or take it off and use a wire brush on a bench grinder would be the fastest way. Then prime and paint with VHT or equivalant. See below for finished product also.

Thanks guys for the responses and pics. I'll give the drill and wire brush a try and follow up with some heat resistant paint.
