It must have landed pretty hard straight downward on the roof. I always thought the 911's had pretty good structural integrity in a "normal" roll-over from what I've read.

This was easy, I just searched "Gemballa" and knew I would find the answer. It is a "Porsche Gemballa Mirage Evolution (1990)". $375,000 well spent.

That design indeed is quite bad Most of the other pics posted so far are from wrecks, but this Gemballa is a self-induced wreck of a different kind.

Was that really a beautiful 911 before Gemballa got to work? Wow, that should be illegal.

Yes, the wrecks are good, but I too was thinking in terms of "self-induced" ugliness imposed on perfectly wonderful stock 964s--you know, how NOT to do "up" your 964. For example, check out what was done to this 924 (ha!):

Ugliest Porsche ever has to be that Gemballa Avalanche from the 80s. Not a 964, but definitely the worst 911 I've ever seen.

I checked out the 924 and I can appreciate and respect that approach more than the Gembella 964 from above. To me, that 924 was more of an art/function exercise to the fullest and I think the wilder the better. On the contrary, the Gembella was likely borned from someone's interpretation of "enhancement" to the 964 design, which I would imagine most on Rennlist to find less than tasteful.

There was one I remember from ebay a few years ago. Guy had done some whacky 6-7 color custom paint job. It looked tie dyed. Just horrid.
