Question Caliper spring plate bolts?

Hi,

Does anyone know of a source for the caliper spring plate bolts for the 993? I know they are different to the 964's but I assume that brembo makes the parts for both and I'm not having much luck on the 993 board.

Cheers.

a964man, excellent I do actually need all 16 though, all the plates are off the callipers. I'm actually going to paint them like you did. If you can spare 16 bolts, I'm in Cardiff this weekend to see my family, so I could swing by!

The bolts are the same and I believe M6 x 1mm. To come up with the bolt length just count the threads and estimate the non-threaded portion and don't forget the green stuff (loctite 270).

You can get stainless M6x1 button head Allen bolts from the major hardware suppliers. I'd go with Bel Metric, I believe that's where I got mine.

I don't know the length, but here they are: https://www.belmetric.com/6mm-c-563_...4r4cq5flnmrgi6

At this point, if you are replacing the bolts you might as well replace the spring plates themselves. They permanently deform outwards and prevent the brake pad from moving. Eventually, you'll get to the point where there is nothing remaining on the edge of the brake pad to file down to prevent this. The kit price is about $40USD/each.

Did some measurements on the bolt, found several online options, here are the measurements so you can also do the same:

They get bent from corrosion building behind them pushing them toward the pad while the screws are still secured. It's very easy to tell if they sit flat against the caliper when both surfaces are clean. If they do, there is no reason to replace them. Media blast them (glass or ice preferably) and throw them back on.
