Smile Best Polish - Blitz Wax?

Much cheaper than Zymol, easier to apply, and 100% carnauba wax without solvents and other nasties, is this the best all round car waxer for the 964? Seems to get recommended widely - whats your experience/view?

I am currently using this stuff. I love it at £24 good value in my opinion. not used blitz but heard good things. I have gone off expensive waxs. I seem to get better results for a lot less.

this stuff is a little cheaper. longer lasting but a bit harder to use.£12

P21 is also very good.

I used Zymol titanium but had mixed results from it. just does not seem to like my 964. made my red Honda look a million dollars though. no I dont understand either.

Never tried it... I have very good results using Meguires #26 on mine. I have found black cars very fickle to the wax you use. Seems every cars is a bit different in what they like.
No smearing or smudging on mine with this wax.
Used to use Zymol on my BMW's, with very good results.

I've been using One Grand's Blitz Wax for almost 10 years now. It's a great paste wax that seems pretty durable and works well with domestic and german paints in my experience.

I use it on all my daily drivers and one of the 911's I have.

You can get it at www.carcareonline.com as well as at some of Rennlist's sponsors.

I too agree Blitz is the most durable wax out there although, for easy waxing without any trace of residue the P21 is much easier. Works best with clear bra but needs more frequent applications.

The Blitz is great for cars that aren't in the garage too often.

This is akin to asking "What motor oil is best to use?"

P21S
Klasse
Pinnacle
Meguiar's
Griot's
I'm a Zaino Zealot, myself

and list list goes on.

It's all about what works for you, what your usage of the car is, your paint condition, what 'look' you want (they can produce very different results), blah, blah, blah...

"£24 good value in my opinion. not used blitz but heard good things. I have gone off expensive waxs."

!!!

At about $47 USD, it had better go put itself on automatically while I watch TV.

I just removed the rejex from the C2 I just purchased. I don't know how it was applied but there is white stuff everywhere and hard as a rock. It seemed OK just put a hard shield over some seriously contaminated paint.

None of these will do any good if the paint isn't properly prepped first.

Yep just like the motor oil question. For long lasting results try Rejex. Used on aircraft especially on wings and body where engine smoke blackens the surface. This stuff is pretty amazing but no cleaner in it so prep is the key to the deal. All wax must be removed before applying also. Good soapy wash or alcohol will do the trick.

I use P21S, as recommended by Paterick Brothers- respected restorer here in northern NJ (I'm sure Cobalt knows them if he's in the NNJR PCA which I am) Very easy to put on, works great (I have a black car that would show everthing, so wanted to be sure I used recommended stuff)- don't know how durable it would be for a daily driver however...

Yep,

At the clinic every year and had dinner with John and his wife Donna at the Zone 1 Concours. His original American Roadster that won 1st at Pebble beach a few years back sold for $1million. If you garage your car and have clean paint, the P21 wax is by far easier to use and provides a great sacrificial barrier. I use the P21 on my Concours cars but the blitz works better for the ones that sit outside.

BTW how are things?

I agree with Cobalt's statement. I've found that Blitz holds up better on driver cars.
