The myths and rubbish are very common here in Australia.
Common ones are it will ruin your engine, you need to do 60,000 kms before you see any return on it, you lose a lot of power (there is a slight loss at the higher rev range but will actually produce more torque in the lower revs.) and octane is 110, it can vary between 96 to 105 depending how much butane they mix with propane.
If you were to fit it to a 964 you would remove the petrol tank and go LPG only.
Remove the Motronic completely (air flap, etc.) and use a Megasquirt to control your ignition using the 60-2 trigger wheel and use an impco mixer there is also a mixer called a tecnocarb.
Also the converter would need to be an electric one as there is no coolant to heat it.
