Default Will 88 944 turbo front calipers fit my car?

Does anyone know if these will fit the rear of my 90 C2? I still have the 2 piston calipers

You dont want to use fronts off a 944T/S2/968, the piston sizes are too large and it will throw off your front to rear bias. But 944T rear calipers may work.

Jim,

Aren't the front and rear calipers the same on a S2 and non-S 951? I see no differences in my S2 F/R calipers.

The caliper block is the same, and the pads are the same. But the piston sizes in the fronts are 40mm and 36mm, and the rears are 30mm and 28mm.

Also the bolting pattern for the front knuckle does not match the rear trailing arm, so I dont think they can be accidentally swapped.

If in theory, you put a front cailper on the rear, the pressure from the master cylinder is the same, the increased force on the pad is the ratio of the piston areas (Pressure = Force/Area). The front caliper has about 1.75 times greater piston area than the rear, so that would really throw off your front to rear brake bias - significantly more than what you could manage/control with a proportioning valve.

FWIW I just ordered front and rear brake discs for my car and one set came with a 951 number on it. The other came with a 964. I specifically asked the suplier to make sure they fit a 964, they said yes.

Yep, the rear rotors are 944 Turbo parts, 951 352 041 02.

As has been stated using a front caliper on the back is not a good idea for several reasons.
1) very unfavorable hydraulic bias
2) inappropriate rotor widths

The 944t f/r calipers, 964 f/r(4 piston) calipers, 965 r calipers, 993 r calipers all belong to the same family of small, 2 piece, painted, fixed mount, 4 piston Brembo calipers but are different wrt piston sizes and throat widths, the throat determines the rotor width that is accepable to the caliper
