Default Option codes

How do I find the option codes on the 964. The car I am looking at has heated seats I believe and I wont be positive until I pic it up.

I guess this post is two-fold. What do the heated seats look like (controls) and where can you find the option codes?

Vin? I really need to know.

The option codes are listed both on a sticker under the bottom of the hood just under the latch, and they are also listed on the card in the factory maintenance book, it would be a series of three numbers. Get the numbers and try this link for the codes: http://www.kindel.com/Porsche/options.asp

The option codes can be found in two places:

1) If the hood has not been repainted, you will find them on a sticker on the inside of the lid, near the latch. They are 3-digit codes.

2) If the car still has the original owner's manual, an identical sticker will be placed on p. 1.

Here's a website to help you decode them: http://www.kindel.com/porsche/options.asp

The controls for the heated seats are in the same area where the controls for seat movement are. However the heater switches are not round like the rest, it's a rectangular switch that just goes up and down (up = heat, down = no heat).
