Has any one put the RH Wheels (Speedline look alikes) on a n/a 964? I love the looks of the Speedline on the '94 Turbo and think they would look sharp on a n/a 964.
This is the only place I found it here in the states.

Any thoughts on what size wheels work best with the n/a 964? Any pictures of these on an n/a 964 would be nice.
Thanks...

I have a mate who has bought these and is very pleased (he had original Speedlines before, but found them too delicate!). His is a turbo though. Don't know what offsets you'd need.

You can get a very similar looking 1 piece Speedline copy from various retailers here in the UK and I know one of them advertises on Rennlist. This thread details the cost in US$, offsets, weights etc. and I know the deal is still available:

Here's my RSA with the RH wheels for comparison. They are 18x8 ET52 and 18x9.5 ET47 and my fenders are rolled. It was a tight fit when I used to run them, but I liked the look:

Sweet!
Now this is what I wanted to see, a side profile of them on a n/b 964 (RS).
LPM911, what where your tire sizes? You lowered the car, what was your suspension setup? So it was neccessary to roll your fenders or was it a precaution?
Here is a direct link to the recommended p-3.6 RH Wheels (USA) for the 964 N/B. No weight is given.

After reading the Ruf on 964 message string, I went to the Ruf USA site to see what wheels they offer and the 17" Classic Wheel looks really nice. That would be my second option and I like the fact they have it in 17", less problems with tires rubbing.

thanks for all of the comments.

Actually this is a fallacy. The speedlines are heavy but weigh no more than these wheels used by Porsche in 18" size. BBS Sport design, GT3 BBS's, 993RS and weigh about the same or less than most of the 19" wheels used today.
The only 18" wheels used by Porsche that weigh less are the Carrera BBS lightweight 5 spokes and the Technology wheels with the 993TT's weighing a little less and the 996 techno wheels weighing a bit less. Maximum weight savings depending on wheel is 3.75 pounds and in most cases they are within a pound of most factory wheels in the 18" size. This can be offset by tire choice alone which can vary by a few pounds depending by manufacturer.
Now some of your expensive forged wheels can save you some weight but you chance damaging these wheels more easily. The Magnesium wheels weigh less but you have to worry about them fracturing which can happen much more easily and are quite expensive. The speedlines are rather durable and take a lot to bend. The RH's weigh less and I have heard of quality issues and they do bend much more easily. Ironically at the prices listed you can pick up a used set of speedlines or for around a thousand more new sets have sold.
