Default Oil change question

This is my second 964. When I changed the oil on my previous car there was never very much oil in the crankcase when I would drain it from the drain plug in the bottom of the engine. On this car I got a good 2-3 quarts out of the engine drain plug. Is there a problem in the oiling circuit?

Both of my 911s have dropped at least a couple of quarts from the crank drain. I assume the oil leaks through the scavenging pump and partly fills the crank case. I never saw any harm other than a small puff of oil smoke on start-up.
