Are 964 and 993 coupe rear seats the same?

No. Early 964 seats are different to late 964 seats too. The early ones have the red pull-out thingy at the bottom of the backrest; the later ones have a push-button at the top of the back rest.

I think I'm right in saying that 993 seats will fit a late 964...

and they have a different stitch pattern (993 vs 964)
And yep, they will fit.

The center pivot thing is allegedly different between top release and bottom release but I cannot see what it is. The pin size is the same. I have a 993 center pivot in my 964 and early 964 seats. Works.
