Default BMW PPI

Off forum topic, but I need some advice. I am going to San Diego to do a PPI for my son who is buying a 2003 325 BMW. I have owned 3 BMW's in the past and they all have been near perfect. But not owned one since mid 90's. Any of you BMW owners know of any quirks that I should check that could be easily missed. Thanks in advance.

That's a pretty reliable engine and the car is relatively new, so unless it has been abused or wrecked, I wouldn't expect any issues. If the car has records to prove it has had regular maintenance and if you inspect for previous collision damage, I wouldn't think you'd be taking too much risk unless it is over priced.

Thanks, it has a clean carfax and priced below dealer blue book for 56,000 miles.

Hi have a 2001 325Ci Sport with over 140k on the clock. Nothing to worry about, expect normal stuff like Service History, Tyres/Brake, condition of paint, etc.

These cars were carved from stone!!

My previous car (before the 964) was a 2001 330i. Even more bullet proof than the 911 I’d say. Drove it hard for 60k and all it asked for was oil and tyres.

However I was warned off the latest 3 series by a BMW mechanic, he reckons they are going down the same slippery cost cutting slope that Merc and Porsche did in the late 90's.

My BMW Z3M coupe has the S52 3.2 liter straight six. That engine is damn near bullet proof and seems like it won't leak a single drop of oil no matter how many miles you rack up. I wish the 964 engines were as inexpensive to operate.
