Having clutch replaced, what about 8:32 RP upgrade?

My street 91 C2 goes to the track twice a year. The car is going in for a clutch replacement (96,000 miles) next month. Mods: cup airbox, chip, primary muffler bypass, bilstein HD...
Question- I will be upgrading to the light weight flywheel.
Will the 8:32 ring and pinion be a worthwile upgrade?
That 8:32 RP is a pricey component, one vendor's website states $2,200 USD.
If I can afford it should I have my trusted Porsche mechanic install it?
