I have the plug end and about 6" attached wires from both the driver side and passenger side for the mirror connection of a 993 door loom which I want to connect to my 964 loom so that I can plug into my replacement tear drop mirrors without needing to cut off the socket in the mirror bases as suggested in Phil Raby's method.

In other words which colours of the 993 loom correspond to which colours of the 964 loom to connect the mirrors?

I can't find an answer to this anywhere - help!!

Where did you get the loom and plug from? Im looking for the same. Douglas Valley quoted £15 each not included VAT and Porsch apart want 80p for each pin!!

Hi Superunknown - Got just the plugs attached to about 6" of wiring (there are 6 wires all colour coded) from Prestige Salvage (0113 243 1392) in Leeds - speak to Neal. He was seriously unhappy to cut them from a complete door loom but he did and charged me £10 for each side.

However no response to matching wires to 964 loom colours as yet - somebody must have done it this way!

Hi Phil - I did immediately we had finished talking. Plenty of references to your article but no one seems to have matched up the colours of the 993 loom with the colours of the 964 loom at the mirrors end of the wiring harness!! Regards...

Excellent very detailed - the key to it is are numbers stamped on the 993 plug and the colours they take from the 964 wiring loom. Thanks again for your time on this.
