Default Krikit Belt Tension Tester

I bought a Krikit I V-Belt Tension Tester today from Car Quest. It was ~$10 and I had to wait one day for it to be fetched from the warehouse.

The unit measures in Lbs (30 to 160) and Kg (15 to 75). In operation one holds the tool against the belt and presses only on the little black pad. The pad moves with a "click" indicating the proper amount of pressure has been applied. You then read the value.

Apparently this device is the same, or very similar, to the Porshe Special Tool 9547. I've seen a reference that said the Porsche "increments" are actually Kg.

Can anyon verify that?

Here are a few pics.

Cheers,
Dave

Dave, I don't have any hard evidence for you but I heard the same thing when I bought mine. It is allegedly very similar to the pcar tool.

The only difference I noticed were the four little breather holes in the beige plastic finger cuff. The boxes are even the same with the exception of the Porsche AG warehouse barcode.
