Well, this weekend I'm going to fit my new pedals. Got a club tour coming up and I want them done before then. Got to finish assembling the garage cabinets to I can make sense of the garage first, but I WILL get them on this weekend.

Trying to tidy up other smaller projects, so I'm not real busy, but I've got enough to keep a tailor's son busy. I'll try to take some pictures and post them once the garage is all done. Been too busy for that up til now.

so what about you; got anything on the schedule for the weekend? Jamie needs to do some dusting but what about the rest of you?

Well... No rain today so I'll be driving the Porsche in to work. They shut the beltway down yesterday because two A$$holes wouldn't get out of their [i]stolen[\i] car! I spent 3 hours getting to work. (And I was glad I wasn't stuck in a 5 speed!) Anyway... I've got a lot of work to do this weekend, but in between... I've got some testing to do on the porker related to the stalling issue.

Geoff... I can hardly wait to see the garage pics!

This past week I announced locally my resignation from the hospital in NB (east coast, east of Maine) and my intention to move to Alberta (west, north of Montana) in early November to setup practice there.

After deciding to move, it took all of 3 weeks to find, get offered, and accept a new job (it is nice to be wanted. ). We are thrilled about moving west and I'm looking forwards to working in a larger centre with more options and opportunities but a little sad as my wife's family is from this area so we are leaving them behind.

Marc

No rain here this morning either so drove my car in to work also. Hopeing to watch the space shuttle go off in a couple of hours while on the drive home. Love these 1/2 day work fridays
Got most of the damage cleaned up at my summer cottage in Virginia after the nasty tropical storm last weekend. Hope thats the end of them there and here in Florida for the year!
Congrats on the job Marc. When are you coming down this way? Maybe we can get Jaime to give us both a ride in the turbo

Ditto on the rain thing - an unusually bright and dry day in the north of England today... Driving the Turbo 2 today instead of the MR2!

I've spent the last two days in Copenhagen - and although I don't like travelling on business, Copehagen really isn't so bad - there really are lots of pretty Danish girls around. None of them want to talk to me, but still - it's nice window shopping.

Won't get to use the car this weekend, or do anything to it. My house is being invaded by my g/f's neice and best friend. I will spend the whole weekend saying "if you continue to speak in french, I'm going out in my car". Hmm - maybe I will get out in it after all.

What part of Alberta will you be in? Calgary? Edmonton? I was born and raised in the province, before moving overseas. Hope you and your wife enjoy the lifestyle. The province is definately booming because of all the oil activity so isn't so cowboyish as it once was.

Good luck!

So Marc, do you offer medical advice as well as P-car advice???

I ordered a new cashmere ebrake lever with rootwood handle to match the rootwood shifter from Sunset. They only had one listed in their system, and it was in Germany. I won't know until next week whether or not it really exists. Should spruce up the interior quite nicely.

Jim, do you know there is a Club race scheduled at Daytona later in the fall? I believe it is the first ever Porsche Club Race to ever be held at Daytona International Speedway. I know a bunch of us from Jax will be there.....Maybe I'll meet you down there for some of the festivities.

Also have great weather like Smokin, I'm only 75 miles north! Will be doing some last minute fix-ups on the P-car in preparation for tomorrow's Tech Inspection for the Pocono DE in 2 weeks.

Off today, so doggie will get to go to the park and romp with his little buddies!

Had the pleasure of picking up my 89 year old Dad from the airport the other day. He went to Holland to visit 2nd generation friends from WWII when he (and a "few" others) parachuted into Einhoven. Yea, he was in the next company over from "The Band of Brothers". He wore his new "jump" jacket with all of his patches and medals. He was beaming...talking about how he was treated like a rock star!

Congrats Marc on the life change. Good for you.

I ordered my new shift boot from Alan Gun yesterday, as well as some paint for my brake ducts and bumper plugs. I also ordered a set of Hawk Blues from CDOC to help scape off the deposits from those Pagid Oranges. Can't wait to get them off my car!

I read through the detailing forums, it's time for a wash, bar, polish, wax day today. Sheez those guys over there are hard-core!, but lots of good info in the archives.

I had a track day this week, what an amazing time. I did 3 run groups in a row later in the day when lots of people had gone home. I was running with my buddy in a 993TT. Man those things haul ***. It was a little depressing, but if I can keep him in sight I am doing well. I knocked another second off my avg lap time, I am now in the 2:15 range fairly consistently. I have some areas to probably drop another 2 seconds off my time. After that who knows!!

Well, we all know what you are going to be doing on Saturday. You should have done them the other way around.

Tomorrow I get to motomarshall the Univest pro/am bicycle race in Souderton, PA. 6 hours on the motorcycle, fun!

Marc.. Congratulations! I can "hear" the excitement in your voice! Will you be starting your own practice or going into a partnership? It sounds like the start of something great!

JimQ... Did the shuttle make it up? It sounded like they had a lot of major problems to overcome!

JimH & Megatron... Those are some very sexy cars you have! Any chance on seeing closer-up pics?

DaveK... My Dad used to LOVE to go to Copenhagen when he was alive. I guess it was back in the 70s when he worked for Naval Intelligence. I think he used to "meet" people there.

LouZ... What a great story... It sounds like your Dad had a blast!

kgorman... Can you post a link to where you bought your new shift boot please? I need a cashmere one. I really don't want to fork our several hundred $$ if I can get a better deal somewhere else!

I hope everyone has a GREAT weekend!
