Jim - yes, I had planned to revive that thread about visiting Orlando so we can make some firm plans for anyone who is interested to meet up....and hopefully see Jaime's new ride. We are going south the last week of September so just a few weeks away.....I think the "Be Petty" NASCAR track day thing may have to wait until next time given the upcoming big move though.

Peter - I'll be in Grande Prairie (northwest of Edmonton for those who don't know). I lived in Calgary about 20 years ago when it was quite the cow-town but I think the oil money has changed it a little.

Jeremy - nah, I'm just a "biological technician" as my father says....just cutting and sewing. Then again, he has a PhD so I just tell him he got lucky on one project.

Rick - I'll be sharing an office with 4 other surgeons but essentially running a private (fee-for-service) practice. We are really looking forwards to it and see it as a great adventure!

Marc.
p.s. It looks like our house will sell without having to even list it too!

Marc great news, and good luck. I'm a body mechanic and human pipe line enginer. Thoe I have taken the last 3 1/2 off to be a full time dad after a divorice. I am planing to return to medicine, but not surgery. I don't think it will go to well with single parenting.

Rain is a maybe this weekend. We really need it. Since the end of July I have only had to cut it three times. It's normally once or twice a week. Most of the strems are so far down the trout have moved on. I'm still hoping to get some p-car driving time. Last weekend the GF and I drove over 250 miles up in the Ozark Mountains. Its nice we can be in the hills in 30 mins.

I am really liking the Yoko ADVAN Neova AD07s I put on about 750 miles ago. I think they are the best tires I have ever had on her. Great grip, smooth, and I really can feel what they are up to.It makes the car handle so much better than befor.

Dose this mean you are a practicing physician in the fine state of Missouri?
Fall harvest approaches and I may like to have my front teeth extracted to blend in with my bib overalls. Looking for a Rennlist discount. :-)

Currently not in practice, but in Missouri. If you really want to blend in don't get them pulled at least not all of them. The hotest trend is to have Meth Rot. That way you have a little of the base of the tooth left( good for getting pain meds in the local ER on friday night ). For the ladies there is the ever popular Punched Out look. Of course to compleat the look a black eye, or split lip is needed. it would be funny if not so true.

Too funny. If harvest goes smoothly(it seldom dose), I may get down into southern Missouri for the Fall foliage. Great roads. Keep me posted on the colors.

We've got some kind of Indian Summer since the start of September
A welcome change after the wettest and darkest August since years.

Marc, well done and good luck. I guess you will have to look out for a garage with a house build around it

Strange. That's a perfect discription of the weather we experienced here in the midwest USA - and I didn't know you folks, also, have an Indian Summer.
They must have been imports.

Hi Noah, it's a term we use for all the fair, sunny weather we get after the summer holidays. The real Indian Summer is typically American and, from what I've read, should occur after half October in the Central and Eastern part of the US.
Enjoy it when it comes around.

And Hi Kris,
That's correct. It comes after the first cold snap and killing frost. Really the best weather imaginable. Some years it never comes. :-(

My Friday really was folley; slipped into first gear and about to pull away at a stop sign Friday afternoon and the car just revs and rolls backwards....stuck in neutral! I had it towed to JuniperSerra Auto in Daly City (whom I have heard so many great things about, including from those on this board).

Hoping its a 'linkage' type of issue rather than the transmission or clutch (clutch is fairly recent). Keep your fingers crossed...
