Wink Best 964 diecast?

Maybe a little OT, but as you also have realized 993 are well represented among the diecast manufacturers. I would really like to find a big 964 diecast in silver. Do you guys know any specific brand that made them or still makes them?? Any colour is okey, but then I have to go to the paintshop (polarsilver).

Cheers

Or even a little diecast of a 964 in silver. I haven't been able to find one.

The main brands that may do 964s are Minichamps, Vitesse, AutoArt, UT Models and NZG. I haven't found any large die-cast models (1:18 scale), but have got a few 1:43. The NZG ones are the ones Porsche gave away as promos at the time. eBay is the best source.

sorry to gloat, but I've got an Anson 1:14 Carrera 4 Cab model, # 30313. I got it off ebay for a steal; paid <$25 with shipping. The car is black, but it has a mint green interior. It's also the euro version, because it has the turn signals on the front quarter panels. It also has a nice wood base for displaying the car outside the box; which I should do one of these days. The car is shown with a soda can for size. Let the gloating begin!

I check eBay on a regular basis looking for a 964. Few and far between in my experience. It amazes me how many people think that 993 means 1993. That's my year - they should stop teasing me!

Check gomotorbids.com also- I've found some cool and obscure porsche there and most of their bidders are stock car and sprint car guys so you should get a steal if you find what you like.

here's one over in the UK; shipping might be more reasonable than a US auction.

There has been a plan to make a 1/18 scale 964 coupe for the last 1 1/2 years! I keep checking for it's release as it was supposed to be on market in Dec '05.

It is by AUTOART, product # 77891 (you can Google it and it still shows as "Future" release).

Minichamps makes many versions. I you want one in silver you can contact your Porsche dealer or some internet stores. There're 4 kits with five cars in each that was made for Porsche by Minichamps. The kits are Turbo, Targa, Cab or Coupe with 911, Carrera 3.2, 964, 993,996. All cars are in silver with red interior. You can even find these cars sold separatly. Here's a link to a Swedish Porsche Centers on-line store.

I may be wrong, but I think that 1/43rd scale car that is being sold in sets via Porsche is Chrome as opposed to Silver, although it is possible that both are available.

I was lucky enough to win one of the Chrome 964 cars at a PCA function. It is very nicely done, and has the Cup 1 style wheels and tear drop mirrors. I would have preferred Black, but beggars can't be choosers.

Correct... I got mine 1:43 from the Porsche Dealer (most of them from Sunset Porsche). Here are a few photos from a few years back... the collection has grown a bit from the time I took these photos:
