I tapped off the ACC line to the stereo...so the V1 comes on only when the car is powered up. I ran the line from the rear of the car to the front. Phone cord is cheap. =) The line runs along the top of the rear windown, down to the side window, at the bottom of the glass. Then down the door jamb, under the door sill plate and under the dash, by the trunk release handle. The remote display comes up by the steering column.
