Default Herman's back!

Finally, my poor herman is home safe after a serious 24k service. Some items I bugeted for and some I did not - thanks specialist to that did my PPI - NOT.

Here's some of the highlights:
New gemballa springs
New Bilstein shocks
Four wheel alignment
New dizzy - last one was missing a few items
New oil lines -nearly all those on the car
New oil cooler - last one pissed out oil
New A-Frames left and right
Rebuilt calipers/new pads
New bottom pulley - the rubber worked its way loose and ripped-up
New sill rubbers
Tons of little jobs that make the difference

And what a difference, Herman's on FIRE. Faster, tighter, more responsive handling/throttle response - he's a go-kart - No he's sex on a stick.

Thanks to everyone who offered support and advice.

Here's a pic of my lover, Herman:

Blimey - what was the total cost, and where did you have the work done? Are you UK based?

I live in England, NW. The total cost was £3550 inclusive with near on 6 days work. Some labour went uncharged. Work was done by John Holland of Unit Eleven, Warrington.

Having spent most of my life's earnings on one car or another (63 stingray coupe, 67 stingray roadster, rs2, rs4, s4, e30 m3, e28 m5, E500 ltd to name a few) I have been plagued by poor quality specialists claiming one thing, delivering another. Not John. absolutely unique, well qualified, competent and capable. JH came highly recommended and I strongly recommend him to anyone.

If that £3550 also includes parts and VAT, sounds like a Very good deal to me!!!

The £3.5k did include all parts, VAT and a 24k service. It's a tremendous amount of work and a very good price.

Look forward to getting out and about putting some miles on the car. Will be at the NW run for sure.

Thanks again.
