getting back to the post on windshield insurance. I just had my winshield on my other car replaced by Allstate for a $100 deductible. they do it all the time.
However, you may end up with aftermarket glass.
If you have any chips in the glass, this may be a good option. Call your agent.

If you drill the lock will the door open? There must be a reformed car thief on this forum.

zimpwh, I called my PO in San Jose, CA (408)247-1655. The price is $125. I'm pretty sure I paid $75 1-2 years ago. The PO might of made a mistake. I need to dig up the receipt.

Well it is now open. No locksmith in the area would attemp to pick the lock at any price...They must be making a mint...I drilled the passanger door lock....and surprise, surprise the door opened. Now I have to find a lock set kit...I've seen them posted on several OEM sites. This is a DE toy , not a daily driver, such is life. Maybe I'll pickup another Porsche this weekend..."Gone in 60 Seconds."

I see another Porsche parts depot can't cut a key correctly or did they use the wrong key code?

So I actually went and retried this tonight and the doors wouldn't unlock when I disconnected the battery.

I bought the blank key for $45.92 CDN (with PCA discount). Part Number: 911.538.903.00
Then I took it to a professional locksmith and just gave them the EC? Number (you should have a key card in the warranty booklet that has the code for the key) and they only charged two bucks...
Because it was cut using the code the new key is basically like new and works like in a new car!

241 Dollars?? Do they work for Tony Soprano?
