O2 Sensor Seized
After following those great DIY instructions posted by SMOKIN', I was unable to remove the O2 sensor from my catylitic converter. I musta' applied like 300lb of torque. I had both feet pushing on the rear rotor and both hands pulling the box end wrench...(insert ggggrrrrrnnnnnttt sound here)
Nothing like putting it all back together after not getting it done! AHHHH
NOW WHAT?
Any suggestions would be helpful
Shall I just get a cat-bypass? I think that's what I want anyway.

Get out your blow-torch and heat up the cat around where it is screwed in. Then use a few lengths of steel exhaust pipe purchased at your local h'ware store cheap as extensions on your box wrench. Get angry at it and apply 600 ft-lbs torque and then dance and drink beer when it comes off.

Did the Liquid wrench. Duh, don't know what a breaker bar is. I think i know but i'll internetsearch it.
Thanks. I think i'll go w/fabspeed cat bypass - nothing like getting a problem solved by upgrading performance!

let the car run to get the cat hot put a long wrench on it and use a hammer to bang the wrench the direction you want it to go, this works much better then 500 ftlbs of torque becasue you want to shock it loose not twist it off

A breaker bar is just a long pipe you slip over the wrench. It adds leverage. You'll be surprised at how well it works. The only problem would if you don't have room for one.

In addition to the above suggestions, sometimes it helps to rap the wrench/socket in the tightening direction for every rap you give it in the loosening direction.Work it back and forth. Also, i've found that a product called "Free All" works incredibly better than Liquid Wrench or even PB Blaster (which is also a step up from Liquid Wrench, IMHO). Also, a really, really good O2 sensor socket -- such as one by SnapOn -- works more effectively than any cheaper brand. I've also used a combination wrench on the sensor.
