Default Finally, my first Porsche.

Last Saturday was great, I purchased a '92 C2 Coupe from Chad (thanks, the car's great) a fellow Rennlister. The drive from Ohio to Michigan was good, but it wasn't until I was back in Michigan and sped up on the freeway before hitting some local back roads that the reality of ownership and the quality of the car sank in. It truly is a great car, and it's fantastic to be an owner. Thanks to all the knowledgeable people on Rennlist that offered me advise while I was looking for a C2. I've posted a few pictures taken on the drive home below.

Nice car, welcome and congrats!
Is your exhaust aftermarket? Doesn't look like a stock tip.
Taillights look very nice (very red).
Please... more info.

Congratulations! Nice car and great colour: understated and tasteful. I, too, just got my first Porsche a few weeks back--also a 92 C2 but in Polar Silver (or is it called Arctic Gray?). I've gone through my V8 BMW stage, and is was nice to down size. Good luck with your 964. My big decisions will involve lowering it a bit and/or getting a cat by-pass.

It has a Borla exhaust. Not too loud, no resonances, and it's a little more raspy than the stock exhaust. However my wife was following me after picking up the car, she thought it was pretty loud when I opened it up on the back roads.

Nothing quite like the feeling of that first drive.

Nice looking car!

Can someone point Craig (?) to a place to add his purchase to the spreadsheet that someone (?) is keeping?

Very nice and congratulations!
I recall the same feeling you described. I still get a little of it everytime I get in the car. HArd to describe.

The 964 price thread is here: https://rennlist.com/forums/showthre...ferrerid=35947

The spreadsheet is hosted by Kenny (kgorman) but I think it is static? Not sure it is being updated... but I may have missed a conversation re. this.

Nice car Craig. Seriously congrats! She's a keeper.

Glad you were able to come down and get it so quickly. Definitely helps me out with my current situation. I'll get another as soon as I figure out how to get a nice 911 on a 924 budget.

Make sure you take the car out and open it up as often as you can.

The tail lights have just been buffed with Meguiars #3 glaze using a foam pad on a Makita buffer, Meguiars #7 show car glaze by hand and waxed. (As has the rest of the car. This helped but they are still somewhet pinkish in person. I think Craigs pictures were taken in light that makes them look redder than they are.
