I've gotten 36mpg (imp) on the highway when the cruise is set to 100kph. But typically get 28 to 32 with cruise off and highway speeds anywhere between 100 and 140 kph.

My 964 gets around 18 in town and "back road driving". Jack rabbit starts and a lot of high rpm driving. On the highway at 75-85 mph she gets about 28 mpg. I get any where from 25 to 125 grins per gal. Not bad for a 16 yr old car.

Fuel economy? I've never bothered to check it. Honestly, that never crossed my mind with this car.

As KirkF points out the US gallon is 20% smaller than a UK gallon. This means that those getting around 26 mpg in the US freeway driving would get 31.2 mpg in the UK!! Are there any UK listers who have genuinely achieved this?

What is the size of the C4 fuel tank? For motorway driving I get about 380 miles out of a tank. Around town I get about 220.

Day-to-day I get around 23mpg (mixture of town and A road). On a run, I can get up to about 28mpg, whilst on track it's about 10mpg.

I did have my first £70+ tank of fuel recently (super unleaded). I actually don't think it will be many years before we're looking at £100 fill ups. Even my poxy focus cost me £50 the other day!

Eh? 136 miles on 14.5 gallons = 9.3mpg... I'm assuming that was on track?

My old UR Quattro had a 20 gallon tank which used to cost me £75 to fill up and that was 4.5 years ago, these days that would be a fraction under £100.

I get 7.5 miles per gallon, but then again the throttle is always wide open.
